Florida International Terminal renews Port Everglades lease for 10 years

Florida International Terminal (FIT) has secured a 10-year lease renewal at Port Everglades, planning to invest $25 million over the next two years to enhance its container terminal operations. This agreement, endorsed by the Broward County Commissioners and the local Port Authority, ensures continued growth and efficiency improvements at the port. FIT's commitment includes bolstering job opportunities and implementing sustainable practices. With significant contributions to North-South trade lanes, FIT aims to maintain its position as a leading cargo terminal in South Florida.
